Kailyn Lowry Expects Twins Shortly After Giving Birth to Her Fifth Child

Kailyn Lowry is embracing double the happiness.

Three months after confirming the arrival of her fifth child, a precious addition with her boyfriend Elijah Scott, the former Teen Mom star has just dropped a delightful bombshell—they're expecting twins.

For the 31-year-old, the revelation began with a recent solo trip to Thailand, leaving her boyfriend, who shares their adorable baby boy Rio, behind. It was during this journey that the first inkling struck her.

"I must have become pregnant right before I left," Kailyn revealed to TikToker Allison Kuch, who is coincidentally also expecting, during the October 27 episode of her Barely Famous podcast. "And I had no idea."

As Kailyn explained to her social media friend, who had coincidentally visited Thailand around the same time, "When I got there, I was eating everything. My face was flushed, but I didn't think anything of it because I was like, there's no way. There's no way I am."

The former MTV star went on to share that she would soon be welcoming two new members to her family, providing insight into her previous use of ovulation tracking tools.

"I mean, this is my sixth pregnancy, six and seven for me," the reality star explained. "And I've gotten pregnant when I'm not actually—like I've tracked my ovulation and I've gotten pregnant on days that were not my ovulation window."

Kailyn's announcement follows closely on the heels of her recent chapter of motherhood. She had reflected on keeping the details of welcoming baby Rio private.

"I wanted to be able to tell my own story on my own terms," she told People on October 13, "and kind of share what information I wanted to share."

However, their closest friends and family were already in the know, allowing them to enjoy a wonderfully intimate baby shower to celebrate their son.
