Emma Willis recently shared a touching moment from a past family gathering, marking their first Thanksgiving since revealing her husband Bruce Willis's battle with frontotemporal dementia. The Instagram post, dated Nov. 23, featured a snapshot from Bruce's 68th birthday celebration in March, just one month after his diagnosis was disclosed.

Expressing gratitude, Emma captioned the photo, "I'm grateful and thankful to know this kind of love. Wishing you all a Happy Thanksgiving." The image showcased Bruce and Emma alongside their daughters, Mabel (11) and Evelyn (9), as well as Bruce's ex-wife, Demi Moore. Demi had previously shared a similar image from the birthday party the day after the event. Also present were Rumer Willis, who was pregnant at the time and has since welcomed daughter Louetta with boyfriend Derek Richard Thomas, Tallulah Willis (29), Scout Willis (32), and Scout's partner, Jake Miller.

The family portrait included two furry members, Demi's tiny Chihuahua Pilaf, and Tallulah's Chihuahua Goose.

Reflecting on the challenges since Bruce's diagnosis, Emma opened up about her struggles and the responsibility she feels due to her resources. In an article for Maria Shriver's Sunday Paper published on Nov. 11, Emma shared, "I struggle with guilt, knowing that I have resources that others don't." She acknowledged the privilege of being able to take a hike for mental clarity, recognizing that not all care partners have that luxury. Emma emphasized her commitment to advocating for families without the means to speak up for themselves.

One key lesson she highlighted was the significance of hope. Emma noted, "Hope is everything." She explained the evolution of her perspective since Bruce's initial diagnosis, expressing increased hope today. Having gained a deeper understanding of the disease and connecting with a supportive community, Emma found a new purpose in using her platform to empower others. Despite an unexpected journey, she expressed hope in her family finding joy in small moments and coming together to celebrate life's precious moments.
