Insights from Kylie, Jason Kelce's Spouse, on the Reality of Joining the Kelce Family, Including Travis Kelce's Clan

 

Kylie Kelce, married to Jason Kelce, shares her experience joining the NFL star's family amidst Travis Kelce's blossoming romance with Taylor Swift.

Imagine not being warned by Travis Kelce's sister-in-law about the sheer awesomeness of being part of this family.

As Taylor Swift's love story with the Kansas City Chiefs' star unfolds, Kylie Kelce, wedded to his brother Jason Kelce, reflects on her entry into the Kelce clan after marrying the Philadelphia Eagles' center in 2018.

"In the beginning, I felt like an outsider since I married into the family," she revealed in an interview with ABC's Impact x Nightline, set to stream on Hulu on Nov. 30, dedicated to Travis and Taylor's romance. "The most incredible part was being welcomed with open arms."

Kylie, mother to daughters Wyatt, 4, Elliotte, 2, and Bennett, 9 months, with Jason, describes the adjustment, saying, "They're a pretty small family, so it's a bit of an adjustment. But it feels warm and inviting, much like a big family should. It was second nature to hop right in, and yes, it's as fun as you'd imagine."

In the midst of Taylor's deepening connection with Travis, she's found herself spending quality time with his family, including Jason's parents, Donna Kelce and Ed Kelce, often seen together during Chiefs games.

Travis, overwhelmed with the support, expressed on the Sept. 27 episode of the New Heights podcast, "I thought it was awesome how everyone in the suite had nothing but great things to say about her, the friends, and family. Everybody was talking about her in a great light."

And it appears Taylor has earned Mama Kelce's approval. "He's happier than I've seen him in a long time," Donna shared with WSJ. magazine in an article published on Nov. 20. "God bless him; he shot for the stars!"

Travis Kelce's star power, already soaring as a top NFL tight end, has escalated since his relationship with Taylor began. The entire Kelce family is adjusting to the heightened spotlight.

"It's one of those life things where things happen, and they just grow exponentially," Donna shared with Impact x Nightline for its upcoming episode. "This year has been one week after another, and it just seems like it's never going to stop."

As for Kylie, in an interview with Spectrum News on Nov. 19, she admitted, "It's not particularly my cup of tea to be in the spotlight or in front of a camera. I was a communication major in college. I love to be behind it. That's my bread and butter."

Responding to a media report suggesting she was trying to avoid the Taylor Swift spotlight, she clarified on TikTok on Nov. 22, "I said it's not my cup of tea to have attention on me. I didn't say that. That seems like a stretch to me. You're reaching!"
